Our client is an award winning Trading and Investment firm who are seeking an Operations Manager to join their Australian office. This is a high-impact role requiring a proactive and detail-oriented professional who understands a wide range of operational processes from end-to-end, who can provide hands-on operational experience while also driving process improvements and working with global stakeholders.

Reporting to the COO, the Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end operational processes,

What will my day to day look like?

You will be responsible for:
  • Product setup across all product types for the business to offer trading & investments to clients
  • Client structure and configuration to ensure accurate setup of client accounts
  • Events and lifecycle of client trading and investments, and the management of their portfolios and reporting. This covers, and not exhaustively: Client payments Client configuration Corporate actions, Custody & HIN management, Tax handling (including US IRS), Client reporting
  • Working with compliance and regulatory reporting teams to ensure end-to-end activities are managed
  • Ensuring operational accuracy across all transactions
  • Work with the COO and team to design and scale the operations team
  • Define roles across all of the operational functions
  • Foster a culture of ownership and improvement
  • Design and ensure all operational SOPs are well documented and aligned with all functions across the business
  • Introduce controls, SLAs, and KPIs
  • Identify automation opportunities
  • Support new product launches
What skills and experience do I need?

You have a passion for operations and have worked as an Operations Manager or Team leader within a Financial Services / Wealth Management or Trading firm along with:
  • Experience in financial services, brokerage, or fintech operations
  • Strong understanding of payments or client money flows
  • Strong understanding of full lifecycle of investment products (client setup, to investment, to settlement, to reporting) and client experience
  • Strong focus on managing operational risk, ensuring operational robustness, and operating in a compliant manner
  • Experience improving operational processes
  • Experience in regulated environments
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Collegiate approach to working with all teams and team members
  • Experience in managing teams
