Our client is a leading and highly respected Stockbroker/Wealth Management Company with a reputation of being a leader in their field who continues to go from strength to strength. As a result of this continued strong growth, they have an immediate need for a Team Leader within the Operations division. This role will complement someone who has a passion for financial markets, prior leadership experience, and sound knowledge of Fixed Income products.

What is the role?

You will be responsible for leading a high performing team in providing client administration functions predominately across fixed income products. Further responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Provide ongoing guidance, coaching, and support to team members, ensuring timely and compliant execution of all tasks.
• Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues, resolving matters proactively and efficiently.
• Conduct team planning to ensure appropriate resourcing, training, and coverage across all fixed income functions.
• Take ownership of team performance, including service levels, quality outcomes, and risk management.
• Foster a high-performance team culture, focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

What skills do I need for the role?

You are a proven Team Leader who has managed a successful operations/client services team. You thrive in a dynamic, growing business and bring a result orientated mindset to all that you do. You also have a strong knowledge of Financial Services and Fixed Income products (Term deposits, Cash and Wholesale Bonds) with excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. You are a strong leader and have experience working in a busy, fast paced, and dynamic environment.

You also have:
  • Strong understanding of Wealth / Investment Platforms / Stockbroking operational processes
  • Experience managing a small team ideally as a team leader or 2IC
  • Sound knowledge of Fixed Income products
  • Proven ability to prioritise work, meet agreed deadlines
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft applications (intermediate Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Completed diploma/degree in a related field preferred.
