We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Sydney's CBD. This role will be based within the Business Services & Tax division.

What will my day to day look like?

You will be working with a supportive group of professionals and have the opportunity to grow your leadership skills while providing top-notch service to a variety of clients across multiple industries.

  • Develop and maintain client relationships with a proactive approach, serving a diverse range of clients, from business owners to industry professionals.
  • Ensure work delivered by your team meets the firm's high standards and aligns with client expectations.
  • Collaborate with clients on various business advisory needs, including business restructuring, tax planning, and cash flow management.
  • Offer expertise in tax regulations such as Division 7A, FBT, and CGT, translating this knowledge into practical, value-added solutions for clients.
  • Mentor and provide feedback to junior and intermediate accountants, fostering their professional growth.
  • Identify business development opportunities and build referral networks.
  • Work collaboratively with other specialists to ensure comprehensive client services.

What skills and experience do I need?

You have 3-5 years' experience in a chartered environment, preferably with a mid-tier or large boutique firm.

You also have:

  • Strong tax knowledge, including Division 7A, FBT, CGT.
  • Proven ability to interact with clients and present information effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Experience in mentoring or coaching other accountants.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CA qualified or actively working towards qualification.
