Finance & Administration Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Finance & Administration Manager to oversee the firm's financial performance, office operations and administrative functions.You'll play a key role in improving profitability, strengthening cashflow, streamlining processes and supporting the firm's continued growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across both finance and operations, with the ability to drive efficiency, accountability and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Finance & Administration Manager, you will:
  • Oversee the firm's day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, cashflow and payroll coordination.
  • Manage legal billing, WIP, debtor management and trust accounting processes to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely collections.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports, including cashflow, management accounts and business performance reporting.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning while liaising with external accountants and bookkeeping providers.
  • Lead the administration, reception and office support teams, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
  • Coordinate office operations, suppliers, IT providers, onboarding, compliance obligations and internal procedures.
About You:

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
  • At least 5 years' experience in legal finance, practice management or a professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of legal billing, trust accounting and financial reporting.
  • Experience managing office administration and leading support teams.
  • Confidence implementing systems, improving processes and driving accountability.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • MUST have Full Working rights in Australia
Experience using LEAP, Xero, MYOB, trust accounting systems and advanced Excel reporting will be highly regarded.
